Los Angeles County Traffic Study Guidelines Section 4.1.5. – Recommended Actions
Potential corrective actions for project access and circulation constraints may include, but are not limited to:
- Installation of traffic signals, stop signs, or electronic warning devices at site access points
- Redesign and/or relocation of project access points
- Redesign of the internal access and circulation system
- Installation of stop signs and pavement markings within the site
- Restriction or prohibition of turns at site access points
- Installation of new traffic signals, left-turn signal phasing, or other vehicle flow enhancements at nearby intersections
- Reconfiguration of study intersections to reduce gridlock and unsafe conflict points
Any of these actions should be recommended in accordance with California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (CA MUTCD) warrants and criteria, or other criteria deemed appropriate by Public Works.
