Assessment, Approach, and Proposed Measures for Additional Site Access Analysis in Los Angeles

Los Angeles County Traffic Study Guidelines Section 4.4.3. - Evaluation and Methodology

The project applicant is required to draft and submit a Scoping Document to Public Works via the EPIC-LA portal. This document outlines the assumptions, parameters, and analysis requirements for the Additional Site Access Studies mandated by the screening criteria detailed in Section 4.4.2. These studies include:

  1. Public Works may request a Traffic Access Management Study to evaluate site access needs for a driveway on a rural two-lane highway.
  2. Public Works may request a Traffic Queueing Analysis to evaluate site access needs related to vehicular queuing.
  3. Public Works may request a Traffic Event Management Study to evaluate site access needs for land use with intermittent events exceeding on-site parking capacity.

Los Angeles County Traffic Study Guidelines Section 4.4.4. - Recommended Actions

Remedial measures to address project access and circulation issues will be determined through the additional site access studies. These measures will be documented in a Traffic Study Confirmation of Findings Letter issued by Public Works.
